Connor's first movies

We started the fun filled night by getting some yummie Burger King.
Then it was off to the theater.
Connor so excited about his ticket to Kung Foo Panda. He held on to the ticket through the whole movie.
Giving the ticket guy well his ticket..:-)
Mom of course had to get a shot of us right before the movie. Connor did so good he sat there just in aww of the big screen. Tomorrow I'm taking him on a date to go see Wall - E He has pretended to be Wall-E since he saw the commercial. He's such a cutie.

Tired Again

So far this little one has been different from when I was preggers with Con. I find myself not being able to sleep at night. When I was preggers with Con I laid my head on the pillow and was out. Now I wake up at least three times to use the potty. Which let me tell ya SUCKS.:-) When this little one moves around it can be quite painful. We recently went downstate for an open house which was nice seeing everyone, but I got to say the ride there and back was not so pleasant. Little schenk was pressing against my tummy so hard i thought it was going to be like Aliens when the baby bust out of the tummy. Wow it was a long ride home. I'm hoping it's not like that next month when I go to see Joyce Meyers because I'm super geeked to see her so this little one better cooperate. I haven't had any swollen anything yet, but I do drink lots and lots of water, and I'm very thankful for that. I would hate to see my ankles swell up like elephants ankles. I have been so tired lately, but I can't just go take a nap. A: I feel like I'm being lazy B: I have Con who now is not taking naps C: On Thursdays i have three kids to take care of. I mean really wouldn't you be tired. I just feel run down at the moment and can't wait to get a couple weeks off from school and relax before little schenk is born. Ok I think I'm done whining for awhile. I almost forgot one more thing CHEMISTY..:-( I mean that would make anyone go insane. Ok now I'm done. Max for little one to arive is nine weeks. I'm thinking it's going to be closer to 7 or 8. I will find out July 11.

News

I guess enjoy the pics first...

Well after having my ultrasound wednesday I now know that I have to endure a c-section. I'm super nervous about it, but I know that all will go well. At least that's what I keep telling myself.:-) Baby still looks the same except the flexed arm is measuring shorter than the other arm. The feet are still in question because the baby doesn't want to cooperate during the ultrasound. The baby is breech and it very unlikely that little schenk will be moving from this position. I have decided to deliver in Traverse City which as an hour away but they are more capable of dealing with any neonatal needs that little schenk might need. The specialist also said depending on the next ultrasound I might have to deliver in Grand Rapids which is more like two hours away. It all depends on what he sees with the next ultrasound. I guess Grand Rapids has a children's hospital and that is where this specialist is from. So they would be able to handle anything that little schenk might have. I was handling everything really well, but I think it is taking a toll on me. I've had a few breakdowns. I'm just trying to stop being such a sissy and suck it up. I know that God is in control and everything that happens is in his hands. I'm just struggling with everything right now. It is a god possibility that little schenk will have to undergo surgey to correct the arm issue, but I'm trying not to add that to the many other things that are happening now. Man I really need to stop talking about this I can feel the stress rising. I'm done.

Different note. Here is little schenk in my belly at 30 weeks. The baby is approximately 3 1/2 lbs and of course measuring a little larger that usual. I have so far gained 5 lbs, but I know that it is soooo going to catch up with me these last couple of months. Enjoy. Ignore the ghostly white belly.:-)

This is what I know...

Well I now know Chemistry is for smart people. Which I've come to realize I am not. Seriously did Chemist sit around and think OK lets try to makes this as difficult as possible for stupid to figure out. I will admit that doing the labs are pretty fun. I really enjoy playing with chemicals as I'm 7months pregnant. I keep on asking my instructor if my baby is going to sprout a third are. She keeps reassuring me that it's not, but I have a weird feeling that it might have a little bud starting to develop. :-) Plus my lab partner always makes me do the dangerous stuff.( STEPHANIE MANSFIELD) just in case any one was wondering.:-) Beside sucking in chemistry school is going pretty good. I'm getting A's in Med Term so at least I will pass something this semester. Connor is doing good. He is excited for the baby to be born because he gets an Indiana Jones Rope. That's his special gift from his little brother or sister. He is so excited he will tell everyone that he gets to have it when the baby is born. I am feeling pretty good a little tired but that's about it. It doesn't help that I'm constantly pushing myself, but I guess I just can't sit back and relax. I have gained a total of five lbs, no swollen anything YET. I'm a little worried about the heat and pray that it won't affect me to much. I'm measuring big and so is the baby which is not the biggest shock to me, but I was hoping for a little baby this go around. I am probally going to deliver in Traverse City which the hospital is an hour away, but I will feel a lot better knowing that they have the equipment to accommodate anything. I really haven't talked about the problems that the baby is having only because the doctor's don't know exactly what is going on either. I have my fourth ultrasound this wednesday, and I'm praying that they will know something. So I will try to put an update on the little schenk when I know something conclusive. The baby's room is painted thanks( G-Ma Schenk and G-Ma Roberts:-) aka Great G-Ma Schenk) It is so cute. Evelyn is working on the curtain and the blanket, and I can't wait till it's all put together. We have a frog theme and it is so adorable.

WooHoo

So school starts tomorrow. I have a Chemistry Lab I have to say I'm pretty excited about. We will see when the day is over how I really feel. Steph is in it with me so she is totally going to be my lab partner.:-) I also start Medical Terminology this week. I'm so so about this class I just pray that I can retain everything I need to pass these two classes. Next semester will be a little easier I just have to pass this semester. Hopefully my tummy doesnt get to big for me to move around and mix all the awesome chemicals. My finals for summer semester are around the same time as little Schenk is due, so I'm hoping there are no surprises. Well wish me luck tomorrow. I will be leaving at 9 in the morning with Stephie and hopefully returning around 5ish. Really what was I thinking. I sure hope I can cheat off of Steph's work:-)...Can I pull the preggers card to get good grades?

baby update

OK, I know it's been a while since I've posted anything, but I've been super tired as my previous post stated. I will try my best to get the ball rolling again. For those who don't know I had to go see a specialist today. I had another ultrasound to see if the baby's feet were clubbed. According to the Doctor he really couldn't rule it out. In one view the baby was pointing the toes which is not normal for clubbed feet, but the in the next view it looked like the feet were clubbed. So unfortunately I'm thinking we really won't know forsure until the little Schenk is born. BUT that wasn't the best news. the doctor tells Ryan and I " The clubbed feet is the least of my concerns". I guess the arm is something the doctor is really worried about. He has been a specialist in his field for fourteen years and has yet to see a baby's arm in the position that it was. The best way I guess to describe it thanks to Stephanie:-) is Mr. Clean the entire time the baby's arm was in this position. It was a total of about 45 minutes and the baby's arm stayed in that position the whole entire time. It was really odd it seriously looks like the baby was flexing. The doctor apologized because he didn't know what had caused it or what it could be related too because it was the first time he had seen it. I have to go back in four week to have another ultrasound. I didn't think about it at the time, but I will be calling tomorrow to see if the baby's arm is like that will i need an c-section. That really freaks me out I have never wanted to have a c-section it scares the heck out of me. I'm also concerned because I might even have to switch hospitals depending on the results of the next ultrasound. So I guess I could know more next month.

Positive parts of the ultrasound the Doctor ruled out spinal bifida, baby has normal brain functions, organs are fine, and baby is very mobile which rules out quite a few genetic disorders.

After the first scare of not hearing the baby's heart beat, I decided I would give it up to God, and I did just that. I feel an unbelievable calm about the situation. Which is not like me at all. I'm high strung and CRAZY. God has definitely help me through any negative thoughts that the devil might but in my head. Don't get me wrong I want to know what is going on, and I hope to find out soon, but I know whatever the outcome God will see my family through.

Beside the Mr. Clean episode, I've been feeling really good tired but good. The baby is VERY active which always makes me feel good being able to feel him/her move. Connor is doing wonderful and is going to preschool next year two days a week which is perfect for a CRAZY mom like me. He is really excited and keeps on asking when can he go to school. I hope he will be fine until August.:-)
